Guided ice-skating tours in the Swedish wilderness

From firm solid ice to too much snow on the ice there is usually a golden period with perfect ice which makes fantastic good ice skating tours possible. Normally this period of time occurs between mid December to mid January.

Ice-skating tours on natural ice conditions

How do you know that the ice-skating conditions are good the scheduled dates?

We don't, as we are in the hands of the nature and the nature conditions. Winter conditions can change quick. Perfect ice-skating conditions can be changed over the night with a heavy snowfall or in case of a sudden weather change to warm degrees, making ice-skating impossible. Because of that we need to have, and have a good back-up option on the ice-skating tours.

The local weather forecast 2 weeks ahead >>

Prerequisite for the ice-skating tour

An ice thickness of at least 5 cm. The snow depth on the ice can't be more than 5 cm.

Ice skating tour - Back-up option 1 - Ski Touring Tour

As the arrangement of the ice-skating tours are in the hands of nature conditions there can be occasions when the nature conditions change to the planned dates of the arrangements. If this happens the planned ice-skating tour will instead be arranged according to the ski touring tour program. Booked tours don't get cancelled. Read about the ski touring tour >>

Ice skating tour - Back-up option 2 - Snowshoe Hiking Tour

In case that the first back-up option not will work due to the natural snow conditions (eg. too much snow), the planned ice-skating tour will instead be arranged according to the snowshoe hiking tour program. Booked tours don't get cancelled. Read about the snowshoe hiking tour >>
