Wolf tracking tour on snowshoes in Swedish wolf territory
Guided wolf tracking tour through the Malingsbo - Kloten Nature Reserve in Sweden, 2,5 hours drive from the Swedish capital Stockholm.
Snowshoe hiking offers a brilliant way to enter the big forest covered by deep snow. The snow shoes support you and make sure that you will be able to walk without sinking.
A native and experienced, wild animal tracker with the best knowledge of survival in winter conditions and the wild animals in the forest, leads you on nice and exciting snowshoe hikes in the Malingsbo - Kloten Nature Reserve and wilderness.
The wolf tracks will lead us to skeletons of taken moose. There will be several moose resting pits along our way and many tracks from several wild animals. You get to know the basics of wild animal tracking, and you get to learn which animals have passed the way before us. One point in the tour involves wolf-watching over open lakes.
When the winter darkness covers the wild forest, we will eat a two-course dinner in the light of candles at the Wilderness Lodge. The food is always locally produced with many ingredients from the forest. After dinner, there is time for tales of wild animals and snowshoeing stories in the warm and friendly ambiance in front of the fire place. At the Wilderness Lodge, the participants will have a good night's sleep in comfortable beds.
