Canoeing & kayaking tour through the Swedish wilderness

Guided canoeing and kayaking tour through the Malingsbo-Kloten Nature Reserve's wilderness. A pristine and wild natural area that has not been touched by civilization. The Scandinavian pine forest along the shore is thick, dense and a popular retreat for many wild animals. We canoe and kayak the classic paddling route from the furthermost point in Bredsjön to Kloten. At the half-way point, we stop for a picnic wilderness lunch. Canoeing and kayaking tour

The guided tour includes: Transfer from Kloten to Bredsjön. Canoes or kayaks, paddles, life jackets, spray covers for the kayaks, water proof-sacks, seat mats and a wilderness picnic lunch

The tour starts and ends in the village, Kloten. Kloten is located in the heart of the Malingsbo-Kloten Nature Reserve along road 233 between Skinnskatteberg and Kopparberg. 2.5 hours drive from Stockholm. Maps and road description >>

Type of paddling: Easy flat water paddling without currents. No previous experience is needed

Landscape description: We pass through the wild and untouched nature in the Malingsbo-Kloten Nature Reserve. The river is winding and the pine forest along the shore is thick and a popular retreat for many wild animals

Equipment: You have the choice to paddle in canoes or kayaks. The canoes and kayaks are made out of the strong hard plastic material, polyethylene and are of good quality and in good shape. Number of participants: 4-10 persons

Price: 1000 SEK. Children under 15 years: 750 SEK

The paddling tour is arranged with a minimum of 4 participants on dates of free choice between 1st of May-31st of October

Starting time: 10:00. Finishing time: 18:00

Clothes to paddle in: Shorts, sport clothes, swimming gear and rain gear (in case of rain). A hat and sunglasses are recommended

To bring on the trip: Rain gear (in case of rain or as a backup against rain), swimming gear, a towel, sun block, a camera and warm "summer clothes". The participants will receive a bottle with drinking water at the beginning of the trip. Personal equipment can be placed in the included water-proof bags

Information: At the starting briefing detailed information about the tour and basic paddling instructions is provided

Safety: The experienced, native Swedish guide is very knowledgeable about all aspects of canoeing, kayaking, the area, the wilderness and the wild animals that inhabit the deep forest. The guide is also a certified life guard, having passed all of the Swedish Life Guards’ Association’s tests for Life Guard Education. A first aid kit is brought on the tour

Occurs according to the canoeing and kayaking program detailed above, + a two-course dinner with many ingredients from the forest, a one-night stay in a double room, sheets, towels and breakfast with home-made bread and cereal. Price: 1750 SEK. Children under 15 years: 1500 SEK
